Is Square Enix’s 774 Deaths A Localized Version Of Nanashi No Game?

Square Enix recently filed a trademark for 774 Deaths in Europe for use with video games. Before anyone ties it to Hitman or another Eidos intellectual property it’s not from Square Enix Europe. 774 Deaths is a Square Enix Japan project.

This is a personal guess, but 774 Deaths might be a localized version of Nanashi no Game, a horror series where players pick up a cursed RPG. See, "nana" is seven in Japanese and "shi" is four. "Nanashi" could be simply written as "774" too and Nanashi no Game is about a game that kills you in seven days so there’s death in it…

Perhaps, Square Enix will localize and release the iPhone game Nanashi no App? It’s not so far-fetched especially considering Square Enix considered releasing Nanashi no Game overseas, but focus group testing halted the project.
