Famitsu has some new information about Resident Evil 6, which the magazine says is 50% complete. Development started two years ago. Resident Evil 6 will have more of a horror feel than Resident Evil 4 and 5, but the series isn’t going to back to basics.
One interesting tidbit is the president shown in the trailer is not Ashley’s father. Famitsu explains he’s the president after that President Graham. Zombies return too, but these creatures are not created from the T-Virus.
Resident Evil 6 has three playable characters — Leon, Chris, and a new fellow with a shaved head. He’s designed to be someone today’s young people can empathize with. Capcom is also changing the controls for Resident Evil 6 and adding cover and a quick evade where you can slide left or right.
Resident Evil 6 is slated for release on November 20 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
