A couple of readers notified us through our e-mail tip line that their Dragon’s Crown pre-order has been canceled. Vanillaware’s belt floor action RPG (their words, not mine) doesn’t show up in Amazon’s database either.

This doesn’t mean Dragon’s Crown has been canceled. We hear Vanillaware is busy working on the game, which is slated for release sometime in 2012 according to their website. The official Dragon’s Crown page still says (in English and Japanese) its coming in spring 2012, which looks doubtful at this point. One possibility is Dragon’s Crown switched from being a retail title to a downloadable one.
We reached out to publisher UTV Ignition for clarification, but have not heard back by press time.
