Kenji Kaido moved from Taito to Sony Computer Entertainment’s Japan studio when the PlayStation brand was just getting started. Kaido helped design Ape Escape, a creative title from SCEJ designed to showcase their DualShock controller.

Kaido also worked on two PlayStation 2 classics as the producer of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Over Twitter, Kaido announced he left Japan Studio in August. Kaido said he doesn’t know what his current plans are and plans to enjoy a summer vacation for a little while.
