THQ snags the Ultimate Fighting Championship license

THQ worked out a deal with Zuffa to become the exclusive publisher for licensed games based on the UFC until 2011. The agreement gives THQ the rights to use the images of fighters, the “octagon” and other UFC content like the Spike TV reality show. THQ also holds the license for the WWE games, which Yukes develops. It’s possible that they could use Yukes again or THQ might be developing the new UFC games in house. Since THQ owns both licenses maybe we will see UFC versus WWE Chaos: Match of the Millennium in the future.
