Square Enix released Guardian Cross for iOS last year. The title seems to be fairly successful with over a million downloads and Square Enix even had a tie up with Final Fantasy V when the iOS version came out.

Perhaps, Square Enix is working on an expansion or a sequel? In Europe, Square Enix filed a trademark for Deadman’s Cross. The way the trademark is filed suggests Deadman’s Cross is a title from Square Enix Japan.
