Horror movie Ju-on, known overseas as the Grudge, is coming to the Wii. AQ Interactive is publishing Kyoufu Taikan Ju-On (loosely Feel Fear: Ju-On) which is based on the film. Players investigate the haunted mansion using the Wii remote as a flashlight — sort of like Lit.
In the game’s official blog Mr. Hiratsuka, the public relations manager, explains the concept of the game is to make players feel scared and to capture the horror experience. Watch out when accessing the main page! Hiratsuka warns people with a weak heart to be careful since the front page has a ghastly kid pop up.
Famitsu has screenshots of Ju-on, but they don’t explain how the game works with two players. What kind of multiplayer mode can a horror / adventure game have? We’ll find out when Ju-on comes out in Japan this summer.
