On December 25, Final Fantasy VII will go where no Final Fantasy game has gone yet, to a cloud gaming service. Final Fantasy VIII International will be available on G-Cluster and Hikaru TV.
G-Cluster and Hikaru TV are kind of like OnLive, a cloud gaming service in the States that lets users stream PC games. Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Lego Batman, and classics like Gradius are available on G-Cluster. Select LG Smart TVs have G-Cluster built into the TV and you use your smartphone to control games. Final Fantasy VIII International is the first title from Square Enix.
This is the PC version with added achievements, an option to turn encounter rates off, and the character booster. Final Fantasy VIII International costs 1,500 yen ($15) on G-Cluster or 1,500 yen ($15) for 365 days of play on Hikaru TV.
