Theatrhythm: Curtain Call Shows Us Its Final Fantasy Type-0 Characters And More

In addition to having plenty of songs and characters from main-numbered Final Fantasy games, Theatrythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will also include characters from Final Fantasy Type-0. Square Enix gives us a closer look at the two characters, and more, in their latest update on the game. First up, though, are new features in this game.     As far as gameplay goes, Theatrhythm: Curtain Call will be similar to the first game, with the addition of some new features. The above video gives us a look at some of the newly added features for Curtain Call. While selecting songs, you now have a “random” option, in case you’re feeling indecisive. tracks can also be sorted according to the games, and names, so you won’t have to go through all 200+ tracks to find your favorite songs.   Speaking of favorite songs, you’ll be able to find them even easier by clicking the heart marks for your favorite tracks. There’s also a quick-start feature that allows you to jump right into a song at the data select screen.   Additionally, the field-music stages will have special airship versions, where you’ll see the airship like Cid’s Highwind from Final Fantasy VII flying in the background.

In addition to the main series of games, Final Fantasy Type-0 and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will also have special scenes featured along with their tracks.   Finally, here’s a look at some of the enemies you’ll be facing in the game, including Reno from the Turks:  

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is slated for release on April 24th, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
