Luigi’s rival is in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game, but he isn’t a playable character. Director Masahiro Sakurai announced Waluigi will be an assist trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Waluigi will be joined by other character assist trophies like Ashley from the WarioWare series and Starfy.
The game is slated for release in 2014.
