Earlier last year, we reported that a new action-puzzle game featuring characters from A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun was in the works. The game has been revealed as A Certain Magical and Scientific PuzDecks (Puzzle Decks) for smartphones.
In A Certain Magical and Scientific PuzDecks, you form parties featuring characters from both series to take on enemies in a simple puzzle game fashion. The game features a co-op mode, where you can tag up with friends to go on boss raids. There’s also a competitive versus mode, where you can test your wits against others.
The decks consist of cute chibi-style characters from the A Certain series and they appear on-screen as part of the puzzle battles. You’ll be able to enhance and evolve them so they can contribute more to the fight, and there’s also certain character match-ups that can be put together for “Deck Skills”. 
The game also features… special images as rewards for completing certain tasks. A Certain Magical and Scientific PuzDecks is currently available as a free-to-play title with premium items for iOS and Android in Japan.
