Square Enix’s Light Novel-Style RPG Isn’t A Joke

Recommended Videos

While the Japanese are known for pulling some elaborate April Fool’s pranks, Famitsu reports that Square Enix’s new teaser site for an upcoming “light novel-style RPG” is in fact real.

According to the report, the cast will consist of 25 “high-profile” voice actors who’ll be part of the upcoming game. The official website lists names such as Yu Asakawa, Kaori Ishihara, Mariya Ise, and many others. It’s also worth noting that all the names listed are female names.

While we’ve yet to see any details on the game’s release or platform, Square Enix are expected to reveal more in the upcoming days. Their teaser site originally went up on April 1st, which is why we refrained from reporting it, but Famitu’s confirmation helped assuage our concerns.
