Easter’s about two weeks out for us, and Digimon Masters, the free-to-play online game, is beginning its celebrations early. Leading up to Easter, the game has updated itself with a new Digimon in Syakomon. He also has a few other friends along for the ride.
Alongside the Digimon-in-a… clam (mouth?), the game also has an Easter Egg hunt of sorts going on. Level-appropriate Digimon will have a chance to drop Miracle Sapphires, which give bonus experience points and are not time-limited items. There’s also a rabbit hunt which will reward keen-eyed players with mystery boxes full of loot.
For those who are riding around on their stylish Digimon mounts, the Easter update adds a couple more riding options with Blacksaintgalgomon and Victorygreymon as new riding mounts. These guys, being all badass, let you ride on their shoulders like a boss.
Over on their Facebook page, they’re also hosting a daily trivia “Scrambled Eggs” contest to unscramble a bunch of letters to form the Digimon of the day. For a full listing of April’s Easter event, you can read the update notes here or get the game here.
