Galaga Defense From Bandai Namco? Rodea: The Sky Soldier Also Re-trademarked In Japan

Bandai Namco Games looks like they have a new Galaga game in the works and it may not be a pure shoot ’em up. The publisher filed trademarks for Galaga Defense, Galaga Wars, and Galaga Bandits in Japan. Usually, when three trademarks are filed, one of them will be used for a new game.

Kadokawa Games, the makers of Demon Gaze and now the owner of Dark Souls developer From Software, filed trademarks for The Lost Child, God Wars Frontier, and Rodea: The Sky Soldier. You may remember Rodea since it was developed by Yuji Naka’s studio Prope, but was never released even though the game was finished. A re-registered trademark means Kadokawa Games hasn’t forgotten about it.

Marvelous AQL, makers of Half-Minute Hero, filed a trademark for Dungeon Fever too.
