Cute but deep MMO Mabinogi is branching out, bringing its universe into an entirely new genre: Card games. Mabinogi Duel is a newly announced title from Nexon which will turn the series canon into a digital card game.
Few details are available, but from the teaser trailer above, it’s most likely headed to mobile. Further, the game appears to have players lay out up to five cards on a field, which will then attack opposing fields and then bosses.
Preliminary artwork looks great, and more medieval high fantasy than the cutesy anime style the MMO is known for. Also, digital card packs, which show “Generation 1” and obvious foresight for future releases.
