Beautifully Frantic Action Platformer Dust: An Elysian Tail Is Coming To PS4

Dean Dodrill has announced that he’s bringing his previously Xbox 360 and PC exclusive 2D action platformer Dust: An Elysian Tail to PS4 “soon”.

The PS4 version of the game will be displayed in 1080p resolution and run at 60 frames per second. That’s especially good news as it allows for the fluidity of the game’s animation to really strut its stuff.

If you haven’t played the game before, yes, the art and really does look that good as you play. More impressively, Dust’s frantic swordplay and screen-clearing magic attacks (allowing for giant combos) feels as good as it looks. Lite RPG elements such as levelling up and power-ups allow room for customization in the movesets, too.

Set in the world of Falana, Dust: An Elysian Tail follows Dust as he struggles to remember who he is with the help of the sentient Blade of Ahrah, and the sword’s guardian and Dust’s new Nimbat sidekick Fidget. You’ll explore a beautiful but troubled world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals and get involved in many intense battles.

Keep an eye on the game’s Facebook page for further updates regarding the PS4 release.
