Rayquaza Has A Mega Evolution In Pokémon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire

  The Pokémon Company held a special Fall edition 7-hour livestream for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in Japan, where they shared a look at the latest Pokémon to get a Mega Evolution form, Rayquaza.  

The legendary Dragon/Flying Pokémon Rayquaza was shown going into his Mega Evolution form, where he uses an Ability called “Delta Stream,” which creates a new weather effect. He also used a “Dragon Ascent” attack to take out Blaziken.   Delta Stream also has an extra effect that protects Flying-type Pokémon and makes anything they’d normally be weak against, do regular damage instead of double or more.   During a second demonstration, Mega Rayquaza used another Dragon Ascent and one-shot killed Mega Charizard.   Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby will release on November 21, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.
