Alientrap Games has been working hard on its action side-scroller Apotheon and as a result can announce that it will be released on PlayStation 4 in January 2015.
Apotheon is a Greek mythology-inspired hack ‘em up in which you climb to the top of Mount Olympus and plunge into the depths of the Land of the Dead in order to defeat the gods that reside there.
You do this momentous task as you are the last champion of humanity, and only by defeating the gods will your species survive the incoming oblivion.
Armed with just a spear, shield, and sword (and occasional bow), you’ll have to display incredible tactical skill in combat, as well as some sneakiness to catch them whey they don’t expect it.
Apotheon will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PC next year. You can already pre-order it for Windows, Mac, and Linux on its official website.
