Ivy Games has released its tranquil, physics-based 2D orbiting platformer Gravity Ghost on Steam for Windows and Mac. It’ll cost you $14.99 for the game, and if you want the soundtrack by Ben Prunty, also the composer of FTL: Faster Than Light, it’ll cost you $19.99.
It has you playing as Iona the ghost as she traverses a shattered galaxy in search of her missing friend, the ghost fox. You reach the exit to its 100+ levels by running, hopping, and using gravity to influence your direction through the air, weaving around planets and stars.
Along the way, you’ll also have to beat the challenges set down by the seven cosmic guardians in order to reach new parts of the galaxy. You’ll also acquire over 10 new magical powers including a gravity terraforming mechanic as the challenges increase in complexity.
Gravity Ghost has hand-painted visuals to match its gentle style of play. And it features voice acting by Logan Cunningham (the Narrator in Bastion), Ash Burch, and Sarah Elmaleh.
