The King of Fighters Characters Enter Metal Slug Defense In 20th Anniversary Celebration

SNK Playmore has updated free-to-play tower defense game Metal Slug Defense with three The King of Fighters characters to celebrate the fighting game series’ 20th anniversary.

Those characters are Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido, and Goro Daimon. The first The King of Fighters title came out on August 25th 1994 so the celebration is a little bit later than it probably should be, but hey, who’s complaining?

Anyway, to get the new characters, you’ll need to fork out $4.99 to get the “Japan Team” added to your roster. Once done, you can select the three fighters as units to run across the battlefield with their fists flying to take out anything that gets in the way. The update also adds new areas and Special Missions for you to take on with your new units.

If you haven’t already, you can download Metal Slug Defense for free on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. Apparently, it has been downloaded nearly 20 million times across both platforms now.
