The stateside Umihara Kawase drought is at an end. Agatsuma Entertainment has announced it will be bringing three entries in the series to Windows PCs. The first of which will be Sayonara Umihara Kawase, which will be released in October.
The PC version of Sayonara Umihara Kawase should look very familiar to people who purchased the PlayStation Vita version of the game. It’s essentially the same, 60 stage, physics platformer. However, this version will also run at 60 fps with upgraded visuals. Since it will be released on Steam, it will also include achievements, cloud-based saves, controller support, leaderboards, and trading cards.
Agatsuma Entertainment will also be releasing Umihara Kawase and Umihara Kawase Shun for PCs. These will be ports of the 1994 and 1997 original Super Famicom and PlayStation/PC releases. Release windows are unavailable for both.
Sayonara Umihara Kawase will be $14.99 when released on PCs next month. Sayonara Umihara Kawase + is $19.99 on the PlayStation Vita and Yumi’s Odd Odyssey is $19.99 on the Nintendo 3DS.
