Pico Cassette Looks To Revitalize The Pleasure Of Game Cartridges

Japanese company Beatrobo, Inc. wants to bring back the satisfaction of using game cartridges to play games. But how do you do that when everything is going digital?

Beatrobo’s idea is called Pico Cassette (thanks RocketNews). It’s a small storage device shaped like a game cartridge that you can plug into the microphone jack on your smartphone. This device will sold with old NES games stored inside it that you can download onto your phone using an app once it’s plugged in.

This storage device is something that Beatrobo has been selling for a couple of years already but it was only being used to share music playlists before. Now the company is hoping that it can help to aid gaming nostalgia.
