Octodad: Dadliest Catch Is Coming To Smartphones With New Tentacle Touch Controls

The loving tentacles of Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be squirming their way to smartphones shortly. To be precise, it’ll be available on October 29th for iOS and November 4th for Android.

Developer Young Horses has revamped the entire game with a control scheme adapted for touch. However, if you prefer, you can also use a third-party controller connected to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth.

If you don’t know already, Octodad: Dadliest Catch has you playing as an octopus who has been masquerading as a human for long enough that he’s started a family with two kids. It’s probably best not to question how that came about.

You have to control this slippy cephalopod in a suit as he gets married, does the dadly chores around the house, and escapes a chef who wants him dead. The challenge here is simply in moving Octodad around and interacting with items and the environment – it’s not easy pretending to be human when you have no bones.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and should also be coming to Wii U.
