At Sony’s Media Briefing during Paris Games Week, Capcom made announcements concerning the future of Street Fighter V. The PlayStation 4 game will make its debut on February 16, 2016 in North America and Europe, and there will be 16 playable characters available from the start of them. One of them is Dhalsim, a returning favorite and incredibly flexible character.

Of the 16 initial characters, 15 have been revealed. Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Cammy, Vega, Karin, Zangief, Charlie, Birdie, Necalli, R. Mika, Rashid, Laura, and now Dhalsim will all be playable at launch. An additional 6 fighters will join the cast in 2016, and players can unlock them once they arrive by spending Fight Money earned in-game through matches.

Katsuhiro Harada also appeared during the Street Fighter V announcement during the PlayStation press conference as part of a joke announcement suggesting he would be the 16th character.

Dhalsim will be playable for the first time during Paris Games Week.
