Volcanion Heats Things Up As The First Fire And Water Type Pokemon

Recommended Videos

It was way back in 2013 when data for Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion, three new legendary Pokemon, was found in Pokemon X and Y. We had to wait until this year for Diancie and Hoopa to finally be released. Now, The Pokemon Channel has released official footage for Volcanion, the last of the three leaked characters.

The initial Volcanion trailer reveals that it is a dual type Pokemon, and it happens to be the first fire and water type in the series. This nature has resulted in the nickname, “The Steam Pokemon.” An official move set has yet to be released, but it comes with the Water Absorb ability. This means a Volcanion hit by a water attack will have its health restored.

Volcanion won’t be able to be encountered normally in the Pokemon games. It will be released via an unknown distribution event for Nintendo 3DS owners.
