Yo-Kai Watch Land Brings Yo-Kai Watch Minigames To Smartphones

Yo-Kai Watch might not exactly be poised to be the perfect Pokemon competitor outside of Japan just yet, but it’s certainly expanding at a steady rate. In addition to the Yo-Kai Watch Nintendo 3DS game and anime airing on Disney XD, a Yo-Kai Watch Land application has been released by Level-5 for Android and Apple iOS devices.

Yo-Kai Watch Land is an informative app filled with Yo-Kai profiles, photo decorating, and mini-games. Whisper acts as people’s guide as they explore the Wiki, Summon characters, or visit the Yo-Kai Arcade. People can scan in toy medals to view the characters in Yo-Kai Watch Land and head into a Photo Booth with them.

The Yo-Kai Arcade might be Yo-Kai Watch Land’s primary draw. The application currently has three mini-games for people to play.  Capsule Escape is a third person running game, where players have to guide a Yo-Kai in a capsule through the machine, knocking down bowling pins and such as they attempt to escape. Manji Mess is a pinball game. Robo Choco has players helping Robonyan grab cocoa with an arm to make chocolate.

Yo-Kai Watch Land is immediately available on iTunes and Google Play. It is completely free-to-play, but does require toy medals for scanning and summoning characters into the application.
