Publisher Majesco has announced that it’s teamed up with Abstraction Games to bring WayForward’s 2009 Wii puzzle platformer A Boy and His Blob to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC on January 19th.

“Now rendered at 1080p and 60 frames per second, players can experience the adventure of the boy and his blob as they travel through 40 levels from Earth to Blobolonia,” writes Abstraction Games. “With over 15 transformations, hidden collectibles and 40 additional challenge levels, A Boy and His Blob is packed with replay value.”

A Boy and His Blob is an update of the original NES game that is meant to be a little more forgiving than the original. The idea is to feed the blob jellybeans to have it transform in ways that help the boy overcome obstacles. It’s a heartwarming experience that comes with a hug button. Aww.
