FNAF World Comes Out Early, Available For PC Now

As is something of a tradition by now, Scott Cawthon has released his latest game earlier than he originally announced. Yep, FNaF World is available on Steam right now.

Previously, Cawthon had said that it wouldn’t out until February 19th. Instead, he’s released it nearly a month earlier than that.

He also said that there would be a demo of FNaF World up on Game Jolt. At least that has happened. You can download it right here.

FNaF World is a turn-based RPG based on Cawthon’s highly-successful Five Nights At Freddy’s horror game series. It has over 40 characters for your party, multiple endings, and multiple difficulty settings.

Here’s the story summary:

“Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the "flipside", where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be- a safe haven.”

Since releasing FNaF World, Cawthon has written a public apology to the community on the Steam forums as he believes the game was launched too early. It reads:

“Hi everyone.
This isn’t exactly an announcement that I’m enjoying writing, but it’s one that I feel I owe to the community.
You know, I’ve been accused of rushing my games ever since FNaF 1, but I’ve never felt that I’d released a game too early… until now.
There are a lot of features that this game should have had before release, features that I was told about, but ignored and didn’t implement. Features such as being able to see what abilities do during battle, or being able to see a stats page for your characters. These are features that any good RPG would have.
I got too eager to show the things that were finished, that I neglected to pay attention to the things that weren’t.
I’m going to fix this, and I’ll be updated the game with these features in the coming weeks.
So I say this to a community that I’ve enjoyed and respected for over a year and a half now- I’m sorry. I will continue to add features to the game and make it right.”
