Nomura notes that it ties into Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue by the hour long Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover, a story told by the Foretellers that gather Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X’s Keyblade Wielders. Nomura also mentions the five Foretellers, a guide cat named Chirithy, and Ephemera and Skuld are new characters that help tell a new story in familiar worlds. Nomura also mentioned that Chirithy is inspired by Scottish Fold cats, of which he owns two.
