Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo, available June 10 on Steam, continually adapts its difficulty to keep the player feeling challenged. Using 500 different settings, the game carefully observes player aggression and skill to create a challenge that always pushes the player to be better.
According to the developer, these ranks will be dictated by the player’s style instead of whether they are being hit or not. The game observes the player’s ability, noting if they are clearing enemies quickly and from up close or if they are hanging back and eliminating them slowly. For the former, the rank will rise quickly, and with the later, it will rise slowly or stay the same.
With this rank system, Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo promises to challenge shmup veterans or ease in newcomers as they tackle the game’s fifteen stages and forty bosses. As players improve, they will also unlock new Mechas, find alternate stage routes, and get different endings.
