A fan translation has released for Hyper Iria, the Super Famicom beat ‘em up based on cyberpunk anime Iria: Zeiram the Animation.
In Hyper Iria, bounty hunter Iria is hunting down Ziriam alongside her AI companion Bob. To do so, she’ll have to explore five stages, beating up the security robots using punches kicks, and weapons with limited ammunition. She will also have to choose her route through each mission, as the stages are often maze-like, offering multiple paths to take. If Iria does well in a stage, she will gain money to be used to buy more weapons and grenades.
Iria can also find herself in sidescrolling shmup segments at certain points in the game, using infinite ammo firearms to shoot down her enemies.
