5pb. announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine that they’re working on a new adventure game for Seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat’s New Game! for PS4 and PS Vita. [Thanks, Hachima.]
In New Game! The Challenge Stage! players will take on the role of Aoba Suzukaze and you’ll be tasked to create a DLC for a major RPG title that was decided in a hurry.
In the “Growth Part” you’ll learn work skills from your seniors. Aoba’s parameters will change depending on which seniors you learn from.
The “Adventure Part” is where you’ll get to check out the story. Here you’ll partake in conversations with your seniors and friends. The degree of intimacy shared with others will vary depending on the choices you make. Later on in the game, you’ll get to enjoy episodes with the sempai that you got closer to as part of their character routes.
Limited edition versions of the game include an Aoba SD figure along with an OST album.
New Game! The Challenge Stage! will release in Japan on January 26, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It’ll go for 7,300 yen for the standard edition and 10,300 yen for the limited edition. Its development is currently 50% complete.
