This week’s North American Virtual Console update brings two Nintendo DS games to the Nintendo Wii U. Animal Crossing: Wild World and Kirby: Canvas Curse, two games that originally launched in 2005, are now available digitally.

Animal Crossing: Wild World was the first portable Animal Crossing game and second entry in the series. Players followed a new human resident in a village filled with animals, able to run errands for neighbors, fish, design clothing, and participate in events. It was also the first game in the series to allow online multiplayer. It’s $9.99 on the Nintendo Wii U.

Kirby: Canvas Curse is the portable precursor to Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Drawcia has cast a spell on Dream Land, and players have to use a Magical Paintbrush to draw lines for Kirby to follow to get him through eight worlds as he gives chase and tries to return his world to normal. Collecting medals by going through levels, completing Rainbow Run challenges, and getting A-ranks on boss fights gives you medals, which you can use to earn more paint colors and characters. It’s $9.99 on the Nintendo Wii U.
