Robert Belgrade, who played the role of Alucard in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, will be returning to his role in Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2, a fan-made Castlevania game.
Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2 has players acting as a knight of the church, Efrain Lecarde, exploring the countryside of 18th century France searching for the source of the monsters that plague it. Using an array of classic weapons drawn from the Castlevania series, as well as a few new tools, players will be able to stomp out the creatures that roam the ruins, forests, and castles in the area.
The game uses an open-world exploration system similar to Symphony of the Night and Simon’s Quest, being free to roam the world as they like, stumbling across towns and helpful citizens as well as graveyards filled with wandering undead.
Belgrade will be reprising his role as Alucard, but he isn’t the only Castlevania voice actor to return to his role. Douglas Rye, who played Dracula in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness will also play as the game’s mysterious antagonist.
According to the developers, Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles 2 is moving forward with Konami’s blessing as long as it releases for free. It is slated to be available in April of 2017.
