Each year, comic samplers and special edition comics are given away for free as part of the Free Comic Book Day festivities. While next year’s giveaway isn’t happening until May 6, 2017, a number of books that will be appearing have been revealed. The 12 Gold Sponsor comic book titles for this year’s assortment of 50 Free Comic Book Day titles have been revealed, and a The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess comic is among them.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 32-page sampler is Viz Media’s Gold Sponsor contribution for Free Comic Book Day 2017. Written and drawn by Akira Himekawa, it features an excerpt from the manga inspired by the video game of the same name. In addition, this comic also includes a sample of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time manga, also written and drawn by Himekawa.
This isn’t the first time a Nintendo-inspired comic has received a Free Comic Book Day sampler. Last year, Viz Media and Perfect Square offered a Perfect Square Presents: Pokémon Pocket Comics FCBD 2016 Edition comic book.
