Tequila Works’ Rime Is Getting A Physical Release For PlayStation 4 And Xbox One

In an earlier report, we shared that Tequila Works’ Rime, first revealed at 2013 Gamescom as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, would be coming to Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Now, it has been confirmed that Rime will also be getting a physical release on PS4 and Xbox One, while a retail release for the Switch is still in considerations.

MCVUK recently spoke with Raúl Rubio, CEO and creative director at Tequila Works, and asked him if the game has lived up to his initial vision for it. Rubio replied with the following:

“With RiME’s release now only a few months away the team is still working hard on adding the final touches to the game, but when I look back to when this journey began I feel we have remained true to our initial vision for the project and the original concept of living an adventure through the eyes of an eight year old child.”

Furthermore, Rubio also commented on how the additional workload of the extra platforms has affected the development team:

“It is true that bringing RiME to other platforms has meant additional workload for the team, but being able to share our vision with a wider audience makes that extra effort worth it. The team at Tequila Works is grateful to the belief Grey Box and Six Foot has shown in both RiME and the studio which has meant the game will now come to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in May.”

Rime will release sometime in May for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
