Yoko Taro Shares Cheeky Comments About NieR: Automata’s Butt “Controversy” Surrounding 2B

Butts have been the center of controversy in recent years, as we’ve seen in Street Fighter V and Overwatch, but when the rear of NieR: Automata’s 2B became a recent topic, Yoko Taro had cheeky comments to share.

It all started during a recent live stream when NieR: Automata producer Yosuke Saito of Square Enix said that what you guys are seeing under 2B’s skirt aren’t white panties, but rather, just the bottom part of her leotard. Since then, we’ve seen plenty of fan art surrounding the android protagonist’s bottom.

That said, the always-hilarious Yoko Taro, had a few cheeky comments to share on Twitter about the subject:

“With 2B’s butt controversy going on, there’s been loads of outrageous images being uploaded, but since it’s a pain in the butt to go around collecting them all, I’d rather receive them through zips on a weekly basis.”

As it turns out, someone personally sent him a zip featuring a collection of 2B artowrk, and he then followed up with this tweet shortly after:

“After saying ‘send me zips of 2B art’ word got around and I actually got a zip. The Internet is great.”

NieR: Automata releases in Japan on February 23, North America on March 7, and Europe on March 10, 2017 for PlayStation 4. The PC version will be available sometime in 2017.
