God Wars: Future Past was previously delayed from February to a Spring 2017 release, and Kadokawa Games shared more info in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine, in addition to a new demo announcement. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

The game was delayed last month from its initial February 23, 2017 release in Japan to Spring 2017 in order to improve on various aspects such as battle tempo, control and camera, interface, and more.

Kadokawa shared more on the scenario that will come included with early pre-orders of God Wars.

Additional Scenario: “The Future of the Sun”

This scenario tells the story of what happens after the main events of the game. As Urashima and Kame return to Hyuga Province, they get assaulted by Momotaro and company on the shores of Mitoyo.

Additional Scenario: “A New Enemy”

Kintaro and friends who accompanied Kaguya receive word that the Jade of Koshinokuni has been assaulted by someone. What awaited in Koshi was a giant beast, a “White Tiger.”

On the new demo

A second demo that has various improvements based on feedback from players of the first demo will release sometime in early-February. It’ll see the appearance of a beauty created from a manga motif, useful establishments such as general stores and shrines, stages such as mountains and fortresses to appear from the start with parts available in the new demo.

Those with save data from this upcoming second demo will get to carry it over to the full release of the game. A special bonus that depends on your play of the demo is also being prepared.

God Wars: Future Past releases in Japan in April 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game is also headed Westward.
