Nintendo Switch Trailer Gives A First Look At Its eShop

Recommended Videos

Nintendo has been releasing a series of trailers preparing people for the Nintendo Switch’s launch. A few days ago, a video took us through the setup process. Today’s video looks at the Nintendo Switch’s News feature and eShop.

The Nintendo Switch video begins by going over the news feature. When people first turn the console on or wake it up from Sleep Mode, a banner on the left side of the screen will note some of the most recent news stories from Nintendo. It is also possible to browse news after choosing the menu option from the Home screen. It then shows the Nintendo Switch’s version of the eShop. Currently, four options are shown in a menu on the left. People can search for a specific game, look at recent releases, see what’s coming soon, or enter a code. It also notes that you can merge your Nintendo Network ID funds with your Nintendo Network account and use the money on all three systems. It also points out that purchased eShop games can be downloaded to the Nintendo Switch while it is in Sleep Mode.

The Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3, 2017.
