Sonic Mania Shows Off Green Hill Zone Act 2 Plus A Brand-New Boss, The “Heavy Gunner”

Sega has released more information on the upcoming Sonic Mania, including a look at a brand-new Act as well as new screenshots.

 

In Green Hill Zone Act 2 players will find an all-new area which is exclusive to Sonic Mania, featuring new mechanics, obstacles, and secrets waiting to be discovered. The zone also includes a new boss battle different from original’s.

Additionally, Sega also shared some details on a new boss in Sonic Mania. Part of Eggman’s “Hard-Boiled Heavies” arsenal, the “Heavy Gunner” is armed with a rocket launcher and appears at the end of the Hollywood-inspired Studiopolis Act 1. This enemy is described as “a large, decorated robot who can take to the sky with his helicopter.”

Sonic Mania will be digitally available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2017.
