Take Two Takes First Step Towards Conquering Japan

Take Two the publisher of Grand Theft Auto IV and Bioshock is opening an office in Japan. This subsidiary will publish Take Two’s titles in the Land of the Rising Sun.

 

Currently, many Take Two games are available in Japan thanks to a smorgasbord publishers. Capcom handled most of the Grand Theft Auto games, which sold fairly well. Spike picked up other Take Two releases such as NBA 2K[X], MLB 2K[X], and Bioshock. D3 Publisher got the bid for Bioshock 2. Cyberfront released Civilization Revolution and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

 

Moving forward, Take Two Japan will publish and localized games for Japan on their own starting with Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City.
