Four Jak And Daxter Games Will Become PS2 Classics

A PlayStation Blog announcement has revealed a number of Jak and Daxter games will be reappearing on the PlayStation 4. Sony is going to release Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing as PS2 Classics on the PlayStation Store. This means each game will receive Activity Feed, Remote Play, Share Play, and Trophy support. It also means that they will each receive 1080p up-rendering when they come to the console later in 2017.

This isn’t the first time some of these Jak and Daxter installments have received a facelift. Back in 2012, Jak and Daxter Collection brought the first three games in the series to the PlayStation 3 with 60 FPS and 720p resolution and Trophy support, as well as 30 FPS support when played in stereoscopic 3D. A year later, the collection appeared on the PlayStation Vita with lower frame rates. However, this is the first time Jax X: Combat Racing has been ported to another platform since its 2005 PlayStation 2 debut.

The Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing PS2 Classics will be available for the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in 2017.
