Sonic Mania is the 2D game developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon, PagodaWest Games, and Sonic Team. People can play alone as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. They can also play with others, thanks to cooperative and competitive modes. A newly released trailer shows off such gameplay elements.

Sonic Mania is one of two Sonic the Hedgehog games coming in 2017. While Sonic Mania will arrive on August 15, 2017, Sonic Forces will show up in Q4 2017.
