NAT-39 appears at An’s house one day, claiming she is its new master. Unsure what to do, she takes the machine in, living with it for a while, watching as it begins to develop feelings in Game Boy-style visual novel Locked Heart.

Locked Heart uses a top-down, RPG-like style to tell its visual novel story of an android’s growing feelings. As the player spends time with NAT-39, they begin to see the android’s similarity to someone who was special to An some time ago. As they continue to spend time with it, they’ll start to see hints of emotion appear in the living machine’s behavior, seeing if an android really can learn to love.

Locked Heart will lead to a single ending and is quite brief, letting players complete its cute, touching story in a quick sitting. It is available for free on Itch.io.
