Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s Pirate Queen’s Quest is a full campaign starring Risky Boots. It mirrors the Shantae route people may remember from the base game. Those who played Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse may find elements familiar, as Risky uses Pirate Gear to get through levels. The first trailer shows her using a pistol, grappling gun, bombs, cannon jump, and even a pirate hat glide to get herself through tricky situations.

Shantae: Half Genie-Hero is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Backers of the Kickstarter will get get Pirate Queen’s Quest for free, with codes being sent out to them this week, but everyone else will have to pay for this add-on.
