Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions Gamescom 2017 Offers Another Look At The Remake

Recommended Videos

Throughout Gamescom 2017, Nintendo has had a live stream of its games running for people who couldn’t be at the event to enjoy and learn from. One of these streams was for Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions, the remake of the Game Boy Advance’s Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga that adds a strategic campaign where Bowser’s minions are heading off to save their leader. The half hour of footage shows people what both campaigns are like, starting with the standard Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga before heading into Bowser’s Minions.

One change discussed in the Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions footage has to do with tutorials. When showing the Bros. Attack at the eight minute mark, it shows that the touch screen will have pictures showing how to execute one of these special attacks. People can hit Demo and Practice buttons to see how it is carried out. There are Normal and Easy difficulty versions of these moves, which require careful button execution to perform. Easy increases the cost of a move like, say, Super Splash Bros. to 9 points, but it will make it much easier to hit the buttons. Normal has a lower cost and standard difficulty, making that same move only cost 6 points.

Mario & Luigi: The Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions will come to the Nintendo 3DS on October 6, 2017.
