During the presentation, Square Enix shared a look at Dragon Quest Builders’ Free Build mode for Nintendo Switch. The Great Sabrecub gives you extra speed and double-jumps when mounted. It can also break blocks with ease and jump up to stomp on monsters.

There’s a special item called “dot” that drops when defeating monsters with the Great Sabrecub that can be used to create Famicom Dragon Quest-style blocks as shown at around the 6:40 mark in the second video.

Dragon Quest Builders releases in Spring 2018 for Nintendo Switch. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
