WayForward’s next game has a release date. On October 24, 2017, people will be able to pick up The Mummy Demastered. (That’s just in time for Halloween!) It will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
The Mummy Demastered is a Metroidvania game inspired by The Mummy movie reboot starring Tom Cruise. As in the movie, Princess Ahmanet and her forces are wreaking havoc. It is up to the player, as a member of the Prodigium secret society, to stop her and her forces. This means going through a 2D, nonlinear world and acquiring various weapons and relics to continue making progress through the game’s world.
The Mummy movie reboot first appeared in theaters on June 9, 2017.
