Super Mario Odyssey Will Support Video Capture

The Nintendo Switch firmware has just updated to version 4.0.0, bringing with it the ability to briefly capture video clips in select games. While only four games currently support this feature, Super Mario Odyssey will be the fifth.

The Japanese Super Mario Odyssey Twitter account confirmed its inclusion. It provided no other details beyond basically saying, “Of course it works with video capturing.” You can only save 30 seconds of video, which can then be saved and shared to Facebook or Twitter.

Other Nintendo Switch games to support video capture are ARMS, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2.

Super Mario Odyssey will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017.
