Penguin Wars Remake Heads Westward On Nintendo Switch

Dispatch Games announced today that Penguin Wars, a quirky competitive Famicom game that received a remake exclusive in Japan for the Nintendo Switch, is heading Westward in early 2018.

The gameplay of Penguin Wars involve throwing as many of the 10 balls on the field onto the opponent’s side of the court before the timer runs out, and hitting the opponent to momentarily stun them is also fair game. Each animal has their own characteristics, such as lower speed but higher recovery from being stunned, and in the remake characters can be leveled up through Story Mode to increase their stats. The full trailer for the game can be found below:

Penguin Wars will be available in the West in early 2018, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
